Robert J. Riordan

Robert J. Riordan is recognized as a certified specialist by the State Bar of California in the areas of Probate, Trust and Estate Planning Law and in Taxation Law; and as a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Academy of Elder Law Foundation.

Mr. Riordan's practice emphasizes estate planning, trust and probate administration, including dispute resolution, and taxation matters. Mr. Riordan is a member of the State Bar of California. He earned a J.D. degree from Golden Gate University, a Masters in Business Taxation from University of Southern California, and a B.S. Degree (Accounting) from California State University, Northridge. Mr. Riordan has experience as a public defender and as an attorney specializing in the audit of estate taxes for the Internal Revenue Service.

Mr. Riordan is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, the Tax Section, the Trusts & Estates Law Section and Real Estate Section of the State Bar of California. Mr. Riordan is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court, United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Tax Court. Mr. Riordan is licensed as a California certified public accountant, and licensed as a real estate broker in California and Texas.
